REVIEW: K-BEAUTY FACE MASKS

Hi guys! Welcome back to my page, I know it’s been a while. With the holidays and work, I’ve been super busy and haven’t taken the time to write and do a review! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. One thing I was really excited to get for Christmas was my new camera! So I’m really going to focus on improving my content and pictures and will take any feedback you guys have for me. Anyway, I wanted to start the new year by reviewing some pretty cool inexpensive k-beauty masks that my best friend had sent to me from Amazon. (Thanks Emily I love you, you da best.) By the way, k-beauty stands for “Korean beauty” which has been a huge trend in the US in the last year or so. Sephora started carrying a ton of awesome k-beauty brands recently, but some you can only get online. I love k-beauty because they have the craziest names and packaging, and most of all a lot of them are effective and at a great price point. So today I’m going to be talking about two masks-they are called the Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask, and the Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask. They are both from a brand called Elizavecca.

Hell-Pore Clean Up Mask- Purchase it here for $11.20. This mask is a peel-off mask which is really fun, and intended to help un-clog the pores and remove impurities. You apply a thick-opaque layer to clean, dry skin and wait until it has completely dried down then peel off. This mask is very comparable- if not BETTER than the Boscia Luminizing Black Mask and for a fraction of the price. I will say- try to avoid your eyebrows and hair line. It will be slightly painful when you go and to peel it off and its stuck to your hair. If you get the application right and nice and opaque, peeling it off will be super easy. I really loved this mask. It was kind of painful to peel off, but it really did pull EVERYTHING out. My skin looked and felt smoother, and my black heads on my nose were almost completely gone! I loved this mask, and for the price it made it even better. I definitely recommend if you feel like your pores are clogged, or have noticeable black heads.

Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask- Purchase it here for $11.14. Ok so this one was interesting. I’ve tried other bubble masks from Sephora but this bubbles up more than any of those I have tried. This mask is supposed to cleanse, exfoliate, and un-clog pores. How it works is you apply it with the spatula it comes with all over, and you leave it on and watch it foam up. I will say- start with less and try and not go even close to the eye area because it foams up A LOT and will get into your eyes. The foaming sensation was extremely itchy and uncomfortable and I couldn’t wait to take it off.  After I rinsed, my skin looked the same. I really don’t feel like this mask did much for me. Over all it was messy, uncomfortable, and didn’t show me any results. I honestly probably won’t use this one again. But I’ve also read a lot of great reviews from people who loved it, so I guess to each their own. It was a pretty fun experience though, and you literally look like a monster when its fully bubbled up haha.

If you want to try both of them, there is a bundle on Amazon here for a cheaper then buying them individually.

That’s it for this review, I hope you guys found it helpful and I hope you get to try one of these masks, and please let me know what you think when you do! Also, if you know of any other cool k-beauty must-haves, share with me. Thank you SO much for reading!
