REVIEW: NARS NATURAL RADIANT LONGWEAR FOUNDATION

Hello everyone, and happy 2018! I thought I’d start this year off with an honest, in-depth review of a brand new foundation from NARS. To start, I truly love NARS’ complexion products. Their Sheer Glow Foundation is one of my all time favorites, so I was super excited when I first heard a couple of months ago that this new foundation was launching.

I’m going to start this review first by telling you a little bit about my skin and what I look for in a foundation. Typically, I’m more on the oily side- but since its been a little drier here in Phoenix, my skin has been more of a dry-combination type. I love full coverage, so I like foundations that are a true full or a medium buildable. Currently, I prefer more of a natural-radiant finish-something that isn’t going to enhance my dry areas or my areas with fine lines. However, I still tend to get a shiny t-zone at the end of the day and that’s where foundations tend to separate a little on my skin. I also typically have longer work days, and I work in the cosmetic industry- SO, I need something that is truly going to last all day.

NARS foundation.JPG

Here is the full description on Sephora.com on the foundation:

NARS’ first 16-hour foundation has a lightweight, breathable, fade-resistant formula and features medium-to-full, buildable coverage in 33 skin-matching shades to fit all skin tones and undertones. The transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant formula stays color-true all day, and continues to look fresh and vibrant, as if it was just applied. This formula features superior blendability for an imperceptible effect that looks natural, like skin. It doesn’t look or feel cakey, heavy, drying, or masking. A unique combination of translucent base with micronized amino acid-coated pigments and mineral tone-balancing powders mimic skin’s tone, fusing with it for the closest match. NARS’ Skin Optimizing Complex—a blend of raspberry, apple, and watermelon extracts—helps support skin’s elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin’s appearance over time for optimal radiance.

Other important things to know:

  • paraben-free
  • oil-free
  • fragrance-free
  • non-drying
  • dermatologist-tested
  • non-comedeogenic

That description literally sounds like a foundation-junkie’s dream come true. I purchased a bottle in the shade Punjab, the same shade I wear in Sheer Glow.

How I applied it: So I know NARS has always suggested fingers when applying his complexion products, but its just so hard for me to get used to that. So what I did was I took the advice of warming it up with my fingers first, applied it to my skin- then blended it out with a damp beauty sponge. (I’ve been obsessed with the Morphe one lately)

Now I must warn you, a little goes a very long way! So over applying will not make the foundation last as long and I learned that the first time I wore it. The way it applies and blends out though really reminds me of a “second-skin” like formula. It doesn’t feel like you’re applying a heavy mask-like foundation at all. That’s one of the things I love the most about it.

So I applied my concealer, the foundation and then I set as always with my favorite translucent powder, the Too Faced Born This Way Ethereal Setting Powder.

Hours 1-3: Foundation looks absolutely flawless. Since I do like a lot of setting powder, I definitely look more on the semi-matte side, but only because I know throughout the day- my natural oils will start to produce and will make me not look as matte.

Hours 4-6: Now that it has truly set on my skin, I actually love the way it looks even more. It has a beautiful natural finish to where it just looks like my skin but enhanced.

Hours 7-9: Foundation still looks great, I do have to touch up my t-zone with a little bit of powder and it looks pretty much back to how it looked when I first applied it. No matter what, my chin and nose area starts to break up foundation, but it definitely isn’t as bad as other ones I’ve tried.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this foundation to everyone- except those who are extremely oily, or if you prefer a matte finish all day. If you do decide to try this foundation, just remember to warm it up with your fingers first, and that less is more. One of the things I also really like about this foundation, is that it is a skincare based product so it will actually nourish your skin at the same time which is always a plus. Here is an un-edited selfie from when I first applied it too- you can see how natural and full coverage it is:

You can purchase the foundation at Ulta or Sephora and it retails for $49. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found it useful! I also finally purchased a MacBook for myself, so I plan on blogging much more, as it will be much easier with a faster computer 🙂

HELLO, SUMMER! MY GO-TO PRODUCTS FOR THE SEASON

Hi everyone! In this post, I’m going to talk about some of my go-to products that I will be using all summer. Besides work, I don’t really plan on doing a full glam look every day this summer. However, if I’m going to the pool or doing something casual, these are the products I have already been using/ plan on using this season. I live in Arizona, and it gets hot as HELL here so these products will protect your skin/be sweat-proof and waterproof to last all day. Without further ado, here they are!

IMG_0449.JPG

So I am going to in order on how you would apply these products starting with primer:

heartToo Faced Hangover Face Primer– $32. This primer is B O M B. It is coconut water infused- so it is SUPER hydrating for the skin, but it’s not greasy-hydrating like some primers can be. I’m oily, and I actually love and can use this primer. It has a lovely scent to it too and it just feels so refreshing to pat it into the skin. This primer also has probiotics and skin revivers to help wake up and refresh your skin- especially if you are feeling dull and tired. This can actually double as a moisturizer too- so if you’re someone who doesn’t like to layer too many products on your skin before makeup, this would be perfect for you. Plus, glycerin as an ingredient also helps to really adhere makeup to your skin and keep it on all day.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin but Better CC Cream with SPF 50+– $38. So this product has been popular for quite some time now and I’ve always heard great things about it. A few months ago when Sephora finally got IT Cosmetics in, I purchased one to see what the hype was about. Honestly it’s amazing… this product is so versatile. You can use a pump with your fingertips and get a nice even coverage if you’re going to the pool, or going to run some errands. OR you can use a sponge or a brush to get a super FULL coverage for a night out. The best part about this foundation is that its soo good for your skin. It is full of hydration, its anti-aging, and it has vitamins A, B, C, and E that address many skin concerns. And the SPF is amazing! Its rare to find a product with SPF 50! The hype is real and worth it on this one for sure.

IMG_0450.JPG

heartBenefit Cosmetics GALifornia Sunny Golden Pink Blush– $29. Soooo ever since I got this blush, at the end of April, I haven’t used anything else. It’s honestly the perfect summer shade! It goes with every kind of look too and I think that’s why I’m constantly picking it up. It is described as a “bright pink with shimmering gold”, which gives overall a peachy appearance. What’s nice about peachy tones, is that they look good on literally every skin tone. Also what’s lovely about this blush is that it has a pink grapefruit and vanilla scent! It smells like you’re on vacation! Perfect summer blush if you have been looking for one.

heartToo Faced – Dark Chocolate Soleil Deep/Tan Matte Bronzer– $30. I’ve been a fan of the Too Faced bronzers for years now, they will always be my go-to. In the Chocolate Soleil franchise, it comes in three shades, basically a light, medium, and dark. All of them are matte (no shimmer) and with a very neutral undertone. I’m currently using the Dark Chocolate one for my contour and I love how buttery it glides on the skin, and how natural it looks. You can use these to contour, or you can dust it all over to warm up your skin and give a natural faux-tan kind of look! Perfect if you self-tan or have a natural tan and you need your face to match your body. It is infused with cocoa powder, so it is very hydrating for the skin. Also, yes, it has a heavenly chocolate scent (and technically taste too if you happen to get some flecks on your lips/tongue) 🙂

IMG_0451.JPG

heartHourglass Voyeur Waterproof Liquid Liner– $34. Ahhhh. Last month I mentioned a liquid liner that I loved, because I am a liquid liner girl. I recently started using this one and I fell in love! Felt tips are awesome and super easy to use, and Hourglass recently launched this one. It makes creating wings so easy and seamless, the brush just glides on. What I love about this one too is how long-wearing and waterproof it is. My left eye is constantly watering, and I usually have to re-apply my liner in the corner because it will come off from the watering. I was with a friend recently out and of course my eye was watering. I kept asking him, “is my wing messed up?!” and he kept saying yes but I thought for sure he was lying because I had kept wiping it. I looked in my phone front-camera- and sure enough it was still there! That’s when I knew this liner was the real deal.

heartToo Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara– $23. Let me start off by saying in the past, I never liked the Better Than Sex Mascara. I don’t know why really, but I also don’t really remember the last time I tried it. I gave the waterproof version a try recently and I forgot why I hated it! The hourglass shaped brush gives the most insane volume with only a couple of strokes. It gives that awesome false lash look we all want in a mascara. I did give it the true test too, I went swimming with it on and it did not budge. I even rubbed my eyes and no smearing! It’s perfect for the summer and water activities if you still want to wear mascara. And yes, as long as you have a good eye makeup remover (I recommend an oil based)- it will come off easily.

heartTarte Rainforest of the Sea 4-in-1 Setting Mist– $25. Last but not least, setting spray! Any kind is really a must have for the summer to set and refresh your skin, but I like this one because it really has a ton of skincare benefits. The four things it can do is act as a primer, setting spray, hydrating mist, and a skin refresher. I’ve been using it before applying my skin care as almost a booster for the products that I apply after. I also use it as a setting spray, and a refresher if I’m out at the pool and I need a pick me up. It has soooo many ingredients that are great for your skin to help soothe, hydrate and refresh the skin. The scent is beautiful as well, I could bathe in this stuff!

Well that’s it for my summer go-tos, I hope you guys enjoyed reading this! I would love to hear what you think of these if you already have them, or if you go and purchase them! What are YOUR summer go-to products?! I wanna know!

SPRING CLEANING: EMPTIES

Hi everyone! Happy Spring. (Even though in Phoenix it’s already hot as hell) ugh. Anyways, I’ve been collecting some empties for a while in this big bag, so I thought I’d share with you all my reviews on them, then finally toss them out! So here it goes:

IMG_2537.JPG

heartU.F.O Ultra- Clarifying Face Oil by Sunday Riley 0.5oz for $40– I’m going to start off by saying that I’ve tried quite of few of products now from this line, and it has definitely become one of my favorite brands. This is a medicated dry oil to help clear congested pores and breakouts. I wore this as my night time moisturizer- because I’m on the oilier side, this was enough moisture for me to wear by itself. If you are dry, I would layer a moisturizer on top. A lot of oily people like myself don’t realize that facial oils are actually amazing for oily skin, because oil balances out oil. When I used this every night, I saw a huge improvement in my skin, it was over all not as oily- and it did clear up quite a bit. I definitely would recommend this for any type of breakout/acne prone skin. The main ingredients in this are: 1.5% salicylic acid (clears congested pores and treats breakouts), tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil (help to purify and keep skin clear), licorice root and hexylresorcinol (brighten and fade acne scarring/discoloration on the skin).

heartMartian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner by Sunday Riley for $80 (full size)– So I actually very recently in the last few days just finished my little trial size of this toner. In the past, I really never incorporated a toner into my routine and I’m not really sure why. I had gotten this one in gratis along with the mini UFO oil- and had used it maybe once and steered away because I didn’t like the smell. One of my co-workers had told me how much they loved it and how it helped keep their skin extra clean and balanced, so I decided to give it a try again. I feel like I had been missing that toner step for so long and now I can’t go without using a toner. After I cleansed- I would pump this onto a cotton pad and sweep my whole face with it then toss it. I would then follow with my serum and moisturizer. Lately my skin has been a lot more clear than normal and I have added and taken away some products and this was one of them I added and I truly felt it made a difference. The main ingredients in this one are: bentonite clay (pulls out pore-clogging dirt and excess oil from the skin), marshmallow extract (soothes redness and irritation), cucumber, green tea, and witch hazel extract (tone + tighten the skin), and manuka (purifying + clarifying).

heartÉnergie de Vie The Refreshing & Refining Light Lotion-In Gel by Lancôme for $50– Soooo I actually think this product is being discontinued because it’s sold out online and I haven’t seen it in stores in a while. I actually think it was replaced by this item, which I have also used- but stopped using cause something better came along. Honestly, I do LOVE how light these products are, but I don’t feel like it did much for my skin. I also feel like when I was using them my skin wasn’t the best when I was using it and I think it might have something to do with all the fragrance in the product. I mean it smells awesome, but I feel like fragrance breaks my skin out sometimes so I try to not use stuff that has too much in it. This product is supposed to “wake your skin up” and I do admit I felt refreshed after putting this on in the morning, but my skin is doing better without it.

heartIntensive Pore Minimizer by Perricone MD 4 oz for $60– Omg. I loved this product SOOO much. I would use it on a cotton pad after I cleansed in the evening any time I had any sort of breakout, or breakout forming. This stuff would clear it up almost overnight. It has little chunks of magnesium in it (you have to shake the bottle before each use), which goes in and really clears out the pores and soothes any sort of inflamed breakout. What I also liked about this, is that it didn’t dry my skin out at all. My skin really felt clean and refreshed after using this product, and I also noticed a size change in my pores. Would definitely recommend for any sort of problem skin. The main ingredients in this are: DMAE (tightens the skin), alpha lipoic acid (gently exfoliates), and salicylic acid (treats breakouts).

Razor Sharp Water-Resistant Longwear Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion by Urban Decay for $22– If you want that wing-so-sharp-to-cut-someone type of winged liner, this is the product for you honey. If you know me, you know how much I love my winged liner and I’m seriously obsessed with this liner AND this formula. I’ve repurchased it a couple of times, because no other liner I’ve used has this thin of a tip to get that super sharp and precise line. I also really never noticed how truly black and matte the formula is until I started getting compliments at work all the time from clients. I love this liner so much! I also dries super fast and stays all day so you don’t have to worry about smudging or flaking. This liner also comes in a ton of different colors, I have the white one as well I love to use to create some fun graphic liner looks. You need this!!!

Okay that’s all I have for this round of empties- I honestly have soo many others I need to talk about but I’m going to split it up into multiple posts. As always, any feedback or take-aways you got from this are much appreciated it! Thank you soo much for reading and I hope you loved this post. Until next time,

NOVEMBER ’16 FAVORITES

IMG_1380.JPG

I can’t believe it’s already almost the end of the year. I would say for the most part, I had a pretty great year! I got to spend it with amazing people, went on some vacations and had nothing but great times. I am looking forward to the holiday season though, and to spend it with my family. I’m hoping next year will start off positive and I can create even more fun memories. Anyway, I’m just going to talk about a few of my favorite products I’ve really been enjoying throughout the month of November.

Huda Beauty Textured Shadows Palette Rose Gold Edition $65- Let me first apologize for how dirty my palette looks in the picture, my makeup doesn’t stay clean and pretty for too long (oops.) I am SOO glad I got my hands on one of these palettes. I saw pictures of it floating around on Instagram for awhile and was droooooling over it. It finally launched on sephora.com after what seemed like forever I was wanting it and I placed my order instantly! I’m obsessed with the glitter shades, they are almost foiled in a sense. They are sooo creamy that they almost feel wet to the touch. I will say, the best way to apply the glitter shades is with your fingers, they will not pick up on a brush. The matte shades are also super creamy and blendable! I think it’s an awesome fall/winter palette and is definitely a must have in your collection. It’s been sold out with Sephora for awhile, but I believe is still in stock on their website, which is linked in the title. I hope you can snag one, it’s worth it! Below are swatches of the glitter shades left to right in order as seen in the palette:

IMG_1387.JPG

heartKate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift $95- Okay, so I’ve used this stuff on and off throughout the years, but never really knew exactly what it did and usually would give the bottles I acquired away. I got my hands on one recently, and started incorporating it into my night time skincare routine as my serum- so the step before moisturizer. What it does is it helps to combat uneven skin tone, sagging in the skin, and dryness. I’m not super worried about the anti-aging aspect, although it is good for prevention. I like it more for evening my skin tone due to acne scarring, and adding hydration. Because I do use some products to help with breakouts, sometimes those products can get drying. I feel like this really helps to replenish that hydration at night time and is very light-weight. You basically spray that funky nozzle thing directly on the face- I do my forehead, across my cheeks and nose, and chin. It feels refreshing and I just massage it into my skin and follow with my nighttime hydration oil or creme. I love this product!

Diorskin Airflash $62- Sooo I’ve been wanting this foundation for 3+ years now. Ever since I started working for Sephora and discovered it- I’ve been dying for it! I don’t know why I never just splurged and purchased it, probably because the price is a little higher. Anyways, I finally caved and purchased it. I’ve come into work early and have used it before and I knew I already loved it and it lasted awesomely on my skin throughout the day as well- which is hard for me to find in a foundation. I also purchased this brush to apply it with, which I feel is the best kind of brush for this foundation. The best way to apply it is to spray on the brush, then stipple on the face. I’ve been loving it as a medium coverage topper on top of another liquid foundation such as my Double Wear. This is such a beautiful foundation. In store I use it on almost every one of my special event clients who are going out, or when I freelance it’s amazing on brides. Really anyone getting pictures taken. It just looks so flawless and airbbrushed!

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in Candy Cane $21- First of all, the formula on these liquid lipsticks are BOMB. They don’t get all flaky and dry throughout the day and feel like nothing is on your lips, but they stay on all day even through eating and drinking. This shade is a limited edition color for the holidays, and it’s like a super deep almost red pink. It’s adorable. I feel like it’s one of those shades that look good on every skin tone. Click here to see a picture on my Instagram of me wearing it. And guess what. It also smells AND tastes like peppermint mocha! I’m allll about it this holiday season.

heartYves Saint Laurent Black Opium Perfume $68 (1 oz)- Oh my gosh. This has been one of my favorite scents since it launched. It’s so warm and sweet, but slightly floral. I get compliments on it every time I wear it out. I have a all time favorite “night out” perfume, and this one is kind of one of my other night time fragrances I like to wear. But I feel like this one worn during the day is still appropriate, because it has those floral notes still. It’s just so yummy, you HAVE to smell it!

MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Show Gold $33- Holy shit. This might be one of the most beautiful highlighters I’ve ever seen. All the new ones in this collection are unreal. I’ve been into a super chunky/glittery highlighter lately and these are just stunning. It’s a beautiful peach tone that breaks pink in the right light. I want to collect all of the other highlighters in the collection now! I apply it first dry, then wet for a maximum glow. Here’s a swatch of it below: the left swatch is dry, right is wet.

I hope you guys liked this post! It was fun to do for sure, and I’m going to try from now on to do monthly favorites and more fun posts 🙂 Thanks for reading.

Key Products to Maintaining a Clear, Beautiful Complexion

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and I apologize. My life has been pretty hectic and going through a lot of major changes! One of the most exciting changes is that I have been promoted to a Beauty Studio Coordinator at Arizona’s newest and most beautiful Sephora! Located at the Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix, I have been working hard with my amazing new team the last month or so training, merchandising, and getting the store ready for opening! We are officially open now, so come and see the new store and shop our products!! So exciting.

Anyways, I’ve been wanting to make this post on these products I’ve been using that have really cleared up my skin. They are the heartDr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta® Universal Daily Peel, and the heartSunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil.

IMG_1227.JPG

I’ve used the peels on and off for the last 3 years, and whenever I use these- I get a crazy amount of compliments on my skin! These really address every single skin concern. They come in different intensities, and I usually use the extra strength that has 7 different acids in it, but I’ve been using the original formula lately which has 5 different acids in them. Its a two step peel that is safe for daily use that exfoliates, resurfaces, and over all improves the appearance of the skin. The pads that come in the 2 step pack are pre-moistened with the blend of acids. You just swipe the pad all over the face, decollete, and arms until the pad is dry. You then follow the second pad after two minutes of doing the first. Finish with your favorite serum and moisturizer. If you try these, I can pretty much guarantee you will see an immediate change and improvement in your skin. Some of the main acids found in these pads are glycolic,  salicylic, malic, citric, and lactic acid. All which do amazing things for the skin. If you can be sensitive and reactive, I suggest trying out the ultra-gentle version of this peel first.

The second product I’ve only recently fallen in love with, is the Sunday Riley U.F.O oil. This is my night time moisturizer, and since it is an oil it deeply hydrates my skin as well as treats to keep the skin clear and healthy. It’s main ingredient is 1.5% of salicylic acid- which helps to treat existing breakouts, as well as help prevent future breakouts. It also helps to get in and break up any pore-clogging debris on the skin. It also has some awesome ingredients to help with acne scarring/other discoloration in the skin. Since I’ve been using this product I have had significantly less breakouts as well as cystic acne I tend to get every once in a while. Typically acne clearing products can tend to dry out the skin, but this one has milk thistle and cucumber seed oil to hydrate the skin.

The combo of these products have really helped not only to clear up my skin, but to maintain that clear skin as well. 10/10 would recommend! I hope you guys liked this post and found it helpful. I also hope that if you get to try either of these you let me know how you like it and if its helping you like it helped me! Thank you sooo much for reading!

QUICK FACT

Did you know your makeup has an expiration date? Ever notice this little symbol on your cosmetic product?

IMG_0594.PNG

That little jar, with the number and letter- stands for PAO (Period-after-opening). Which means the product AFTER you open for the first time and it is exposed to air, has xMonths or xYears before it goes bad. I never really noticed this for the longest time, and just re-recognized it tonight when I was going through old makeup. The product shown, is the old Marc Jacobs Marvelous Mousse foundation (that I miss DEARLY and they should bring it back plz) but I’ve literally had this for maybe 2-2.5 years and the PAO was 12 months. OOPS. Time to toss it out. So keep this in mind before opening a product you aren’t planning on using in a while, because you might come back to it and find it has a gross smell, or isn’t the same consistency. You can also find this number on a lot of boxes so you can get an idea of how long it lasts before you purchase it.

**disclaimer- using an expired cosmetic isn’t necessarily going to hurt your skin, but it just won’t work as well or look as well as it would when it was fresh and newer. Also keep in mind with skincare, if you go back to use an expired item- it has probably lost its potency. I’ve also experienced expired skincare almost balling up and rolling on my skin. Yuck.

I hope some of you found this informational, thank you for reading!

EMPTIES | Skincare

Hello and welcome to my blog & my first ever post! I have saved up some empties to do some reviews and this first one is going to be on some makeup remover/skincare. Please leave any questions/feedback and enjoy!

img_0572

SEPHORA COLLECTION- Cleansing & Exfoliating Wipes “Yuzu” $7.50

What it is: These are part of Sephora Collection’s re-launch of their makeup removing wipes, in the scent “Yuzu” which are supposed to be revitalizing and toning (25 wipes). I purchased all of them that said can be used on the face & eye area to remove makeup.

My review: I like these for removing my face makeup. My eyes are pretty sensitive- and these burned the shit out of my eyes, to be honest. They are extremely fragrant, and fragrance can be super irritating for the eyes and the face. I didn’t mind the smell, but my eyes just did not like it at all. I did also finish the same wipes but in the coconut water (soothing and relaxing) scent, and that one was fine on my eyes (and my favorite one so far). I’m currently using the rose (ultra moisturizing and brightening) ones on my face only right now, but the scent hurts my eyes as well with the rose ones unfortunately.

Overall: I would not recommend the Yuzu or Rose on your eyes if your eyes are sensitive, but they are great at removing face makeup. If any of these new ones irritated your eyes as well, please let me know- I’m super curious! Tip: I always recommend using a face cleanser after using a wipe, as a face wipe might not get ALL of the makeup, dirt, & grime off your face. BONUS tip: use a Clarisonic ($149) with your cleanser to get 6x better cleansing than your hands.

img_0571

heartLANCÔME- BI-FACIL- Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover $15/$30/$39

What it is: A liquid eye makeup remover intended to use with a cotton pad. (I prefer to use the Shiseido ones! $9.50)

My review: I haven’t used this type of eye makeup remover in a while, but I had ran out of the one I usually use and had one of these laying around. The ones I was used to using was the old school brands such as the Neutrogena one, which I hated cause they were always so damn oily and left a nasty residue. This one really doesn’t do that. Also, it didn’t irritate my eyes at all which is always a plus in my book.

Overall: I personally prefer more of a cream based eye makeup remover, so I probably wouldn’t go out and purchase this one. But, if you do prefer the liquid type, definitely try this out if you don’t want that oiliness residue.
img_0568

heartDRUNK ELEPHANT- C-Firma™ Day Serum $80

What it is: A vitamin C based serum that is suggested for day time use. Vitamin C is known for “tightening, brightening, and lightening” the skin. Drunk Elephant is also more of a natural skincare line.

My review: It was OK. I got a tiny 8mL bottle to try out, and to be honest, I didn’t see much of a change in my skin. And I do feel like I got a good amount of use out of the tiny little bottle, so that was impressive. It had kind of an oily texture to it as well- almost like it was an oil and not so much a serum. But I do feel like it did absorb nicely into the skin. I don’t feel like I noticed any lightening or brightening, which is what I mainly look for in vitamin-C products.

Overall: Maybe it didn’t work for me, but it might work for someone else. I didn’t experience any redness, irritation, or breakouts from this product which is always a good thing. So it was just “eh”. I would advise getting a sample of this first, before you take the plunge and spend the $80.

heartDRUNK ELEPHANT- T.L.C. Framboos™ Glycolic Night Serum $90

What it is: A 12% glycolic night serum for the skin. Used to help produce collagen, resurface and refine the skin, as well as exfoliating the skin over night.

My review: HOLY. GRAIL. SERUM. I fell in love with this one. I again only got a little 8mL bottle to try, which lasted me a good amount of time- you need less than half a pump for your whole face and neck. I truly saw a difference in my skin when I was using this product. My skin stayed clear, my acne scars faded. I was very impressed. I would put it on at night time following with my moisturizer, and I really feel like I woke up to a brighter complexion. Drunk Elephant really impressed me with this one, definitely results driven.

Overall: If you’re looking for some true results over night and are sensitive- I highly recommend this product. It is pretty pricey- but I will repurchase soon. They came out with this holiday set- which gives you a chance to try some of their other products for $6 since the serum itself is $90 and the kit is $96. This is absolutely my favorite treatment night time serum at the moment!
IMG_0570.JPG

heartTATCHA- Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum– $95

What it is: An eye serum that is meant to hydrate and smooth the eye area before eye cream.

My review: Loveeeeeee!!! Eye serums/eye creams are very difficult for me because my eyes are so sensitive. I will wake up with dry, red, flaky eyes from most eye creams/serums. I love this one for the reason that it did not irritate my eyes, YAY! Tatcha the brand itself is rapidly becoming one of my favorite skincare brands in general. All of their products have their HADASEI-3™ antiaging blend of green tea, rice bran, and red algae, that restores and protects skin. This also gives me enough moisture by itself that I do not even need to layer an eye cream on top of it.

Overall: If you’re looking for a quick and easy 2-in-1 eye serum/cream that is lightweight enough for day time, yet moisturizing enough for night time, this is it. Also of course if you’re sensitive like me and want a GOOD eye treatment, I would recommend this as well.
